Cycles Gladiator Wines proudly sponsored Team Cycles Gladiator in
the 2007 BP MS 150

The
BP MS 150 is a fund-raising event for the National MS Society, Lone
Star Chapter and the largest event of its kind in the United States.
It is a 2-day, bicycle trek of 180-miles from Houston, Texas up hill
to Austin, the state Capitol. There were 13,000 riders in the event,
which raised $12,300,000.00 this year. Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
usually strikes adults in the prime of life – between the ages of 20
and 50. It is a chronic disease of the central nervous system
affecting the brain and spinal cord. Fund-raising efforts go toward
research for a cure and support of those living with this
devastating disease.
Cycles Gladiator Wines sponsored sales people from Crush Wine
Marketing, their Texas broker, and Prestige Wine Cellars, their
Texas distributor to ride in the event. The little team of 9 raised
almost $8000 for the cause and was recognized as Rookie Team of the
Year for their fund-raising efforts. The team raised the money by
selling raffle tickets for a mixed case of Cycles Gladiator wines, a
framed Cycles Gladiator poster, and a Cycles Gladiator cycling
jersey. Cycles Gladiator Wines was also the wine sponsor for the
National MS Society’s 300 Club Events in Houston and Austin, which
hosted the top 300 fund raisers from the previous year for their
packet pick-ups before the ride. Local supporters of the ride,
including the Whole Foods head quarters in Austin, teamed up by
bringing in pallets of Cycles Gladiator wines (see
photo). It was a great success!
Thank you for your support!!
