Kathy Lynskey Wines is a privately owned boutique Marlborough wine company producing 4500 cases of limited release, hand-crafted wines annually. The company's estate vineyard comprises 23 acres and is situated in the heart of Marlborough, New Zealand. The vineyard site lies on old riverbed soils adjoining the Omaka River. A combination of stone, silt and clay loams, coupled with a unique microclimate within the vineyard is proving a consistent producer of wines of exceptional quality.
Founder and Managing Director, Kathy Lynskey, is one of the few
Marlborough wine producers to have actually grown up in the province.
Brought up on a local, Marlborough sheep farm, her initial interest in
horticulture later expanded to include wine and olives. There are over
500 olive trees planted around the vineyard boundary, which are
producing top quality extra virgin olive oil as well.
From the “vineyard to the glass,” each one hundred percent single
varietal wine, including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and
Merlot, produced by the company reflects Kathy's hands-on, personal and
passionate approach to creating the finest flavors in New Zealand wine.
