Evelyn Pool, President for Life
Evelyn’s first wine experience was in the restaurant industry at a fine dining establishment while she was attending college at the University of Texas in Austin. She began working in the wholesale wine trade for American Wine & Importing in 1977. After moving to California in 1979, she worked for a wine distributor that did marketing as well as sales. Promoted to the marketing department in 1983, Evelyn moved to San Francisco. She then took her expertise and became the national sales representative for a Dry Creek winery, where she stayed for over a decade. In 1997 she started her own sales and marketing consulting company and Crush Wine Marketing was born. In addition to working nationally, she had a small wine brokering company in Texas that kept growing. Her portfolio includes many wineries that are owned by old friends from her time in California. As the business continued to grow, in 2004 Evelyn decided to headquarter her business in Austin, although she still has marketing contracts that take her back to California regularly. Evelyn considers herself lucky to be able to travel between the two places she loves the most, representing and consulting for a great group of wineries..
Kristin Breshears
Kristin began working at Crush in May 2006. She received her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, and worked in the field for almost ten years. Although new to the wine business, Kristin has been passionate about wine for many years. Kristin brings her intelligence, confidence and energy to Crush. In her short time in the business, she has become well educated about the many facets of wine, and brought a new focus and organization to Crush. Initially working on establishing one of our newer brands – Cycles Gladiator – Kristin has been doing our guerilla marketing, creating consumer awareness. We all look forward to working with Kristin as she helps to spread the word about the wines of Crush Wine Marketing in Texas.
